30 LIVE HERESIES, MISUNDERSTANDINGS, & MALPRACTICE IN THE CHURCH TODAY

The modern Christian Church is so weak behind false teachers and doctrines of devils. Let us be sober minded to change these things immediately. Even if the change doesn’t come from the pulpit, let these things not be found among you, your house, your mind, your spirit. Be ready to wrestle in prayer over these things because most of modern church leadership does not have an answer that makes of for this big gap in church knowledge, responsibility, and lack of zeal to properly promote the things of God. God has put his word above his name and it appears the church and put the word out of sight. While we can’t blame the pastor for everything, it is time to step up in faith and fight the good fight. Who’s on the Lord’s side?

1Blasphemy – to insult or show lack of respect or contempt for God, the bible, or sacred things

This topic is rarely discussed much less taught in the Christian church today. As a result of this ignorance,

many people blaspheme especially in the church from the pulpit on down. In fact, Jesus says that the

heathen blasphemes because of those who are called believers (Rom 2:24)

Leviticus 24:10-23 Blasphemy was a sin punishable by death. Now as sin abounds heathens and church

members alike blaspheme the Holy Spirit all over social media as if it is a light thing. This is not forgivable in this life and the one to come. Don’t let this be you! Stop this immediately and warn others to stop blasphemy as well.

Let’s not forget

2 Hell -Hell increases herself. Isaiah 5:11 – 16

I will never know why hell is a controversial topic in church (other than being promoted by false teachers)

Jesus, the one who is the cornerstone of the religion Christianity spoke extensively about hell (Matt 8:12;). If Jesus spent most of the time in his ministry to warn people not to go to hell, why isn’t it discussed more?

Hell exists and many believers are going simply because they don’t believe in hell and therefore have no

Incentive to repent. Examine yourself. Even if it is not taught make it your personal goal not to go there.

God is love is true… and He loves to perform his word. The wages of sin is death.

3 Apocrypha– Seminary school (or cemetery school if you look at the fruit), clergy, etc. have a consensus that the apocrypha is not inspired or should not be a part of the Canon biblical text. It is rarely mentioned much less taught. Unfortunately, the church needs an overhaul in this area. This is a grave error. Proverbs 18:13 Deuteronomy 8:3 says man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. So, while cemetery school mutilated and put boundaries on the word of God. Hollywood writers constantly display the themes from the apocrypha on many block buster films and cable/ television shows. What a loss for the church! Not only does the books left out make the bible more exciting; the very knowledge that is left out would equip the saints to be more prepared and aware of how we have been manipulated by the enemy. Political manipulation has also been derived from mutilating the bible to a fraction of what it should be. However, don’t let that stop you from reading what is left. It is still powerful, it is still a sword, it is still effective for every situation that you can imagine. That is how amazing the word of God is! Even what is left is unsearchable so keep searching. The books mentioned in the bible such as Jashar and Enoch are so effortless, it paints the picture that the ancients assumed the books are already a part of common knowledge or should be. There are so many things that enlighten and make more sense once the other books of the bible are read. The average person really spends most of their life on things that are not “inspired” by God such as entertainment, sports, shopping, hobbies, and other worldly pursuits. The apocrypha is not banned neither will it hurt you to pick it up and read from it. It might actually bring a whole new joy to your relationship with God.

4 Cast out Devils and Heal the Sick Mark 16:17- 18 Signs that follow them that believe. Most of the church focuses on tongues. Many cults focus on picking up snakes. But I want to focus on casting out devils and laying hands on the sick. Tongues are absolutely important in solidifying your relationship with God. But if churches do it as biblically written, there should be an interpreter. But what of casting out devils and healing the sick? Is this

Only done by church leadership? What about all of those who believe? Tongues have become so casual that they can be done by anybody at any time… but what of healing the sick? How does that work? Teacher, pastor, those who have studied and learned please clear this up? I can understand wanting to make sure the tried and tested church leaders stand before the congregation. But why can’t people be taught and equipped with healing hands and casting out devils. Not only is the clergy extremely ill equipped, but unfortunately, the false clergy will never teach of these things because they will be exposed for fraud. Press towards the goal. Fast and pray and let the Holy Spirit will guide you in all things. After a season of heavy fating and prayer I started to cast out devils and heal those ailing. I was never taught by my leadership. But rest assured, as you get close to Jesus, he will get close to you and you will be equipped in all situations.

5 IDOLATRY– 1 John 5: 21; Col 3: 5-6; Gal 5: 18-21 Idols come in so many forms. The bible often had idols of small objects that people carried around and it could be easy to disassociate what we actually used as idols today. Of course, it can be anything that you worship including yourself. Matthew 6:32 gives an interesting nuance by stating pagans/ heathens run after worldly things. It really implies that running after worldly things makes you a heathen because you don’t trust that Jesus will provide for your needs.

Equally disturbing is chasing anything you don’t need that you have created a desire for your own imagination/pleasure. So, to replace Jesus, who saved your soul, provides for you, advocates for you with something you don’t even need is not only embarrassing (for you not him), disrespectful, insulting and will not be tolerated. The scriptures warn that idolators will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. It is up to you to put to death those desires and cravings that war with your soul.

There are several layers of idolatry in the church. The leadership can become idols if you refuse to put God first in the relationship. If you only listen to the pastor and never line up what he says with the Bible or ask Jesus to confirm what you should do, the pastor has become an idol. The church itself can also be an idol if you merely dwell on superficial things like your relationships, your status, nostalgia or anything else that is not lead of the spirit of God.

6 Grumbling and Complaining is ok, we all need to vent sometimes– is a very dangerous yet common practice among modern Christians, Everything from internet warriors to “concerned whisperers” is a slippery slope that is a stumbling block to many. God has never been a fan of murmuring and complaining. It cost many of the Israelites the opportunity to go into the promised land. For others, it cost them their lives. I would like to point out that the people who didn’t make it into the promised land were certainly old enough to know better. That was why it took 40 years to wander around the desert so those people could die off.

Proverbs tells us a fool shows his anger at once. So, the complaint doesn’t have to be at a servant of God or God himself. It could be that you are a combative person that gets angry at the slightest offense. This is not good for your health or your life expectancy. High blood pressure

The children of Israel grumbled and complained (mind you this was an attitude of the heart as well as out loud to Moses) until God sent serpents to attack the people. Mose was eventually instructed to build a statue that people could look at and it would heal their bites. Please understand that some people didn’t survive the bite.

It’s ok to have concerns. That what your discernment is for. But humble yourself and take your cares to the Lord and not your neighbors, the internet, your co-workers and he will guide your steps.

Phillipians 2: 14-15

7 Prayer, Fasting, Night Watch, Deliverance -are optional activities in too many modern churches. Moreover, many clergy (including pastors, bishops, apostles and deaconss) isn’t doing any of these foundational works of ministry so they delegate it to a small group to give them something to do or to pay lip service that the work is getting done. This is so tragic. Little prayer little power. Much prayer much power. No prayer. No power. Most of the items on this list creep into people’s lives because of no prayer and fasting. This is the one of the main reasons the modern church is so weak and so many charlatans are in the pulpit. If you don’t pray and ask for discernment, you can fall for anything. Many scriptures in the New Testament talk about not being deceived. But more over we see how much Jesus prayed and he is the son of the living God.

Night watch. Jesus asked the disciples to watch with him an hour and they were sleepy. There is something peculiar and very powerful about prayer in the night watches. Don’t take for granted that Jesus was just talking to the disciples because he is asking the same question of you today. Will you watch one hour? It can make all the difference in your life or in the situation in which you are standing in the gap.

The apostles’ chains were broken and they were released from jail as the saints were fervently praying. The saints were praying with fire! If only a few more churches had this conviction about regular fervent prayer. So much more of the work could get done. As it is now, the Saints don’t know the bible nor do they pray consistently. Without either of those it is easy to lose sight and become overwhelmed in any difficult situation. Jesus has not only asked the disciples to pray one hour in the night, he is asking us the same today. This little sacrifice will make a big difference in your walk as a Christian.

1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18

Matthew 26:40

8 Warfare– Matthew 11 :12 The church is unfortunately very ignorant of many aspects of spiritual warfare. I ‘m so ashamed to say that when I grew up, I was told that if I left witchcraft alone, witchcraft would leave me alone. Nothing could be further from the truth!!! It is actually so bad that over the past 30 years Jesus himself has evangelized witches and warlocks and from their testimonies, the church has been able to understand a glimpse of how active the kingdom of darkness is against Christians. Deliverance ministries have certainly gotten better over the years but unfortunately it is considered one of those “optional” ministries and not a core part of every church. The first key to being a warrior is being holy. That is the best first defense but it isn’t enough. You have to begin to fight with prayer. Additionally, understanding how crafty and subtle evil can be is key in helping saints understand that regular fervent prayer is life changing and lifesaving. Countless saints suffered and early death simply because they did not fight for what was theirs. He is the author and finisher of my faith and no devil in hell will run rough shot over here to take my glory, my calling, my health, my days, my relationships, my finances. You get the picture. You should feel the same. A saint that is constantly striving for holiness and has fervent prayer will shake up the kingdom of darkness instead of the other way around. Friends, if prayer, holiness, and communion would be taken seriously BY THE CHURCH, interference would stop many of the wiles of the enemy. But the church is so weak with the lack of knowledge, sin, and a willingness to fight, that too many Christians meet the grave with unfulfilled destinies and stolen virtues by the kingdom of darkness.

9 Rapture. I am not going to get into a deep theological debate here. Though this has been widely supported by Christian clergy for years, it lacks biblical support. Even among pastors, is it pre, mid, or post tribulation? The word itself is not in the bible and it is widely accepted that this term and “ideology” came from a girl in a trance during a church service. Not only is this deeply disturbing to know the origins of the doctrine, but biblical text does not support this doctrine. Jesus himself says in Matthew 24 that those who endure to the end will be saved. Folks, the church will have to endure some things. The bible also says of the anti-Christ that he wears out the saints. It doesn’t look like the church is going to be raptured or captured out of any difficult situations collectively. The scriptures say to pray that you be found worthy to escape…and that may mean death. Otherwise, you will have to be strong enough to endure quite a lot. Are you up to the challenge. Have you labored in prayer? Jesus clearly said after the tribulation of the time… Can you please share the teacher speaking of tribulation right now…we surely have pangs but when tribulations starts we will hardly need a minister to confirm it. I do believe it’s closer than we think and it will be all of a sudden.

Matt 24

10

Prosperity Gospel 2 Peter 2: 1-3. The prosperity gospel really needs no introduction. The world sees it, the church sees it, but there is so much apathy especially among those that are being looted. So it hard to say if the problem is the false doctrine of prosperity or if it making idols of leadership that only loot the church and still don’t help the poor, struggling church members and so forth. It never ceases to amaze me how many false $1000 prophesies one is willing to pay for. Then the fake anointed relics, such as water, oil, cloths and the like. When Moses said let me people go I’m sure he would never imagine having to say to so called church leaders. We see it, we know it’s there, but how can there even be outrage when people are so spiritually ignorant that they will allow themselves to be used in this way.

11 Who’s gatekeeping the name? Can we find one? There’s not even much to say except how did we get here? How has this been accepted or allowed by so called church leadership? This is certainly a form a blasphemy by allowing the unholy be associated or joined with the purposes of God. Apologists? What exactly are you apologizing for? You would not find this in even false religions? I can accept that Jesus is the only gatekeeper…. But then a whole lot of false prophets need to sit down and be quiet immediately. Friends we have become so desensitized that taking the lords name in vain is just not that big a deal. Taking things that belong to him and used recklessly does not even cause a stir in the church. When Nebuchadnezzar’s son used the sacred things of God in a dinner feast, there was the writing on the wall.

12 No fear no holiness no respect. The church of today is not the same church the Jesus established when he left in AD 33. The reputation of the clergy and the members is at an all time low and there may even only be a small remnant in some churches or many have left the traditional church altogether. I’m not talking about church hurt, I’m talking about those who don’t want to endure false doctrine or not the complete doctrine. Those who aren’t interested in church theatrics but want to see a real move of God. Those who don’t want to put their resources on a polluted alter. Those already know there is a famine of the pure word of God and chose to stay in their prayer closet. The blasphmeny of the modern church, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is because the church and it’s reputation is compromised by weak leaders or charlatans that were never called of God who steal God’s glory and attention by magnifying themselves instead of the word and the will of God. God himself put his word above his name. The fact that clergy and church members prance around with sinful lives and do not repent shows no fear. Worldly pursuits and worldly appearance is the first sign of these unbelievers. Next would be the motivational speeches that promote feeling good instead of repentance. The church is bewitched and devoid of good judgement. If that wasn’t enough, many church leaders rely on politics and sinful politicians more than the guidance of God. That’s a very strong indictment but it’s true. I know a group of people in the bible that even when the government hated them and wouldn’t let them go, they had light in the darkness, they had food to eat during a famine, pestilence did not touch them, and their families did not suffer loss when the angel of death came. All I can say to this is who’s on the Lord’s side?

13 More Wicked than the Heathen– Isaiah 5:20 Teaching the church to be more wicked than the world. 2 Chronicles 33:9. One could ask how is that possible? But I assure you it is happening everyday in a church near you if not in the church you attend.

This could be a topic unto itself because the church is so worldly. It could also be said that the church is

doing the same things in the world so how can it be more sinful? It is one thing for the world to be disrespectful, but those who Jesus died for to continue in blasphemy is incomprehensible. Moreover, the scripture confirms in Hebrew that no sacrifice is left for believers who continue inn sin. Wouldn’t it be a sad day to know that believers are perishing in sin and the world still has time to repent and be saved. What a sad day it is indeed.

Hebrews 10:26 No sacrifice left

  • No shame of nakedness/ improper attire in the church
  • Unholy events at the alter
  • Mega Molesters and Messy Musicians
  • Worldly Pop culture Ministers Church theater on the alter!!!! and church gospel competitions!
  • Propheliars and those who love to pay for their lies, flattery, and attention

I’m going to take a moment to talk about church competitions because as an intercessor it is absolutely revolting to me. To take praise that belongs to God and reduce it to a talent contest. Praise in the bible was used to fight war, knock down walls, lift up the Most High, rattle the enemy. So instead of singing until poverty is knocked down, cancer is knocked down, curses are knocked down, demons are knocked down, churches are signing to see who sounds best? I cannot even address how completely pathetic that is. That is not holiness before the God of heaven. His praise is not to be used for based activities.

As for the other activities that take place on the alter? How is this acceptable? Everything from plays to skits and other things. The altar of the Lord? Excuse me? Please read and show yourself approved. In the Old Testament priests had a rope tied to the leg because if they presented themselves before the Lord unworthily, they could die instantly. Jesus overturned tables when the temple was used as a market places. Friends we are far away from where we need to be. Let’s not forget about the Propheliars. They are always hearing from “god” but the church never asks which god… because it is certainly not the God of the bible who promised you a million dollars and you are still shacked up with your baby’s father. No ‘mam, that was not the God of the bible that you heard from.

14 Saved by grace no need to work. Unfortunately, the way most Christian churches are set up, people heavily rely on the clergy and do not grow or are encouraged to mature. “Works” for most Christians include going to church regularly or online and giving tithes. There’s no plan or guidance to do works. There are ministries that do outreach and help the community and that is great but there is no real plan to help members understand how to fulfill their calling, the most important work they are responsible for and have to answer to.

I am forever grateful that I was around people that said you are not fulfilling you calling. Being busy is good but being directed to where ultimately God wants you to be is the end goal. Not the annual turkey give away, toys for kids, etc. While these things have a place. Do you know what God wants you to do? Have you even asked or inquired of Jesus? Yes, you are saved by grace and you live by grace but the attitude and response to this is to do what you were created to do.

As it says in James, as the body without the spirit is dead, so is faith without works. Being a benchwarmer is not a good look and will not garner respect in the judgement. At the very least all iin the church should fast and pray…. But the church is too ignorant to even do that.

It is absolutely a good thing to fill in and be of service in you church where you can. But that doesn’t mean neglect your calling or even searching what that is. It may not even be inside of the church. This is where you walk out your relationship with Jesus. It is a walk of faith. The church gives you the tools and it is up to you to use those tools how Jesus wants you to.

James 4

15 Once saved always saved. Backsliding has become a vacation destination.

The believer cannot have open, blatant sin and expect to be taken seriously by God. In fact, in Hebrews it warns in Chapter 10 that to willfully sin after receiving knowledge of the truth there is no other sacrifice left. This should be taken very seriously because God takes it seriously. It goes on to say that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. This cannot be taken lightly. In fact, Paul says that some sins should cause being ostracized and even handed over to Satan so that their soul can be saved. The modern church has an apathy towards sin that.

Now let me say that deliverance looks different based on things connected to your bloodline, various strongholds, etc. There are even countless testimonies that Jesus can turn something around when everyone else has given up. But as a whole, the reputation of the church is hypocrisy.

God says that he is married to the backslider… but don’t get comfortable being a backslider. There should be a fire in your soul to do the right thing because God has done so much for you. Don’t be lazy and ungrateful and just expect Jesus to do all of the work. There are relationships like that all over the internet. Jesus has done all of the hard work. The very least you can do is choose Jesus everyday until your deliverance is complete.

16 Lukewarm is the norm.

Jesus is looking for and deserves a church that is holy that serves with zeal and fire. He loves a cheerful giver is not just for money but your attitude must be right. My bible reminds me that Jesus died while we were dead in our transgressions. We couldn’t do anything for Jesus while we were dead. But now that we are alive with him, we owe him our very best.

If you find yourself identifying with anything from this list, repent now. There doesn’t have to be an alter call or a meeting with the pastor. Start right now with a confession to Jesus. Being found guilty of anything on this list is pretty serious and can cost not only your life but your salvation. Don’t let that be you. Let us not be self-deceived. We all have to repent on a regular basis whether we have done something or not. You may just need to intercede on behalf of your family, your church, your city, etc.

None of us can afford to be complacent and relaxed about sin. Jesus isn’t. He is patiently waiting for us to make a decision to get closer not when you feel like it, but today. Don’t be the one who has church membership for 30 years only to hear Jesus say he never knew you. Too many in the church are not serious about sin, too serious about idols, and seriously need to go into battle for righteousness and that the will of God be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Revelations 3:15-16.

17Witchcraft plagues the Church. But unfortunately, the church does not even recognize what witchcraft is. We are really in a time where definitions and the basics must be preached. Galatians 3:1 Who bewitched you? This is a real statement coming from a real apostle. It’s amazing to me why more time isn’t spent on how to address falling into false beliefs or doctrines even with the best intensions. You can be sincere with the purest of intensions and still either relay the wrong message or believe the wrong message. We have to be vigilant and fight to main pure. Many Christians feel that once church membership is achieved the fight is over. There are certainly times of rest and refreshing but be assured a new fight can emerge at any time. Being self-righteous, complacent, high-minded, and other seemingly little things can creep in. Sometimes, you can be ok but someone you love is blindsided and you are affected as well.

Isaiah 26:3 A mind stayed on Jesus is a stable mind. But too many are given over to seducing spirits and modern ideologies. New age thought has really crept into the church heavily. It is not rebuked from the pulpit nearly enough because many pulpits are the source of these ideas. Everything from burning sage and singing bowls, to chants and mantras. The Holy Spirit does NOT have partners. You cannot expect to burn sage, go to psychics, go to healers, and then come back to church service for the pastor to lay hands on you. The devil is a lie! I say this because I have been called to pray in a few houses where it was reported that the walls were talking late at night. I went with a few intercessors and we began to pray. I had to stop the prayer several times because there were too many idols in the house. Everything from garlic hanging from the door to Hello Kitty buddha in the kitchen. I had to confirm they were Christians because there were so many trinkets and idols but not one bible that I could recall in the whole house. Please read the bible and pray for yourself so that you know when there are doctrines of devils the moment you hear it.

Unfortunately, there are many wizards, warlocks, and Jezebels in the pulpit that deliberately commit the souls to error and to evil altars. Jesus had an answer for that as well Rev 2:2. If you study to show yourself approved and commit to regular prayer and fasting. Your spirit will confirm what type of leader you are under and what to do next. You may have loved ones who are also members and you may need to be a priest for your household who intercedes in prayer.

18 Communion-is it Holy or it snacks? This topic needs more attention, more reverence, and more respect. Jesus said to do this as often in his memory. This is the only ceremony he left the church. Yet this is a very relaxed if not scarce activity in the church. Most churches are either going throught the motions or barely put any effort into this sacred event. The importance of this activity is greatly underused and respected in the body of Christ. This activity, if used properly is the source of healing, being filled with the spirit, forgiveness of sins and really being close to Jesus. I remember a time when I was forced to bow down after taking communion so I don’t take it lightly at all. So many other religions use a blood ritual to copy the holy communion? In fact, this is where demons get most of the power for their covenants, through a blood ritual because the Most High said that the life is in the blood. The wicked use the life in the blood to solidify covenants, seek power, seek information, make request, pay homage, and regular rituals to the kingdom. There may be no way to count the many divergent replications of the holy communion. But there is one thing we can count on, and that is the blood of Jesus defeats them all. The blood of Jesus heals, forgives, makes holy, atones for sin, repairs relationships, anoints the user for good works, cleanses, sustains, strengthens, protects, and fights for you. Friend don’t take the most powerful blood ritual there is for granted. He died for you and I to redeemed for everlasting life. Don’t let the enemy use an inferior practice, with inferior blood show you up as weak and unworthy. Don’t treat this ceremony like a common snack and deny it power. Let’s do as Jesus said and take the blood often to renew ourselves and stand victorious against the powers of darkness.

Acts 2: 42

John 6:51

1 Corinthians 11:28

Matt 26:28

19 Holidays. Please see above. Unfortunately, most of the holidays that Christians would fight tooth and nail for have Pagen roots. Including Christmas. A simple name change, a few songs, and decorations cannot erase passages in the bible such as Jeremiah 10: 1-5. I can speak first hand that after evangelizing on Halloween for the past 5 years, that’s a Christian holiday as well. The church gives not a thought or a care for the origin of the holiday as long as it gets Christianized… it’s ok. What part of the bible is that? So, while the church is playing dress up, real witches, warlocks and covens are in dark places having communion…. please make it make sense. The church is far from where it needs to be and it’s getting too late in time not to have a conviction on repentance.

20 MOTIVATIONAL MEGA MESSES.

Not every Mega church is drowning in worldliness and sin. But as a collective, they are altogether proven ineffective. Today’s church is not more biblically literate, not leading the way in righteousness, not equipped for spiritual warfare, lack zeal and dedication for the things of God.. Therefore, instead of being a hammer for Jesus, most of these churches are social clubs with entertainment on the weekends and special events throughout the year. Let’s certainly not forget the praise and adoration given to the pastor.

The fervent effective prayer of the righteous avails much and with this many Christians in one place there should be power over strongholds, power over plans of darkness, power over oppression, power over all the afflictions of the enemy because my word tells me that many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all. There should be an expectation of power, praise and ‘t have to be deliverance but there seems to be more attention on secret failures and relaxed morals.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. However the sacrifices of God are a broken and contrite heart. It doesn’t have to be your personal failure or sin. Do you even care enough about God to grieve that many will not make it to heaven, the church has failed, we live in a sinful nation. Is your heart big enough to care about the things that God cares about?

Make a change today.

21 Tithes cure everything. No they don’t. Especially if you have sin in your life or you regard sin in your heart (unforgiveness, hatred). God cannot be mocked and he also cannot be bribed so it’s best to keep your money if you are planning to use it to pay for a blessing. Now there are times when a sacrifice is required but there’s a process of prayer, fasting, praise and petition that takes place. Tithing does not force God’s hand especially if your motives are wrong (James 4).When you pray for the will of God or for tools to be more effective in your service to the Lord. He will listen and respond sooner than those looking for s supernatural Santa Claus. This is something seriously abused in the church. I do believe business needs to be taken care of but the extravagant lives of many clergy should be a red flag and it isn’t.

Dare we even talk about giving tithes to a defiled altar? Every church where tithes are being offered are not necessarily sanctified. Too many offer strange fire because the clergy are leading double lives. So you may have integrity, holiness and doing all that you can to be righteous but the altar is defiled and so is the tithe offered. Do you understand how much praying for discernment right now? Annanias and Saphirus could not put a polluted tithe in the assembly. The Apostles did not accept Simon’s money to buy “power”. Cain’s sacrifice was not accepted and Able’s was. Likewise in Revelations Jesus talks of the Apostles that were found to be false and he also talks of churches that left their “first love”. He warned of taking their lampstand away. Friends if Jesus has taken the lampstand away from your church…. Your tithes mean nothing. Make sure you are not sitting in a lukewarm church complacent about sin and worldliness. It doesn’t matter how much you tithe, it means you are a partaker of the unrighteousness whether you knew it or not.

22 PropheliarsThe modern church not only craves but chases down a word from the many superstar “prophets” among us. Modern Christians will travel, visit other churches and pay huge sums of money to hear “blessing” proclaimed over them. Christians will scream and shout “prophesy!” when the only thing that comes forth is lies.

These “prophets” can be found in many places but most have not been called by God and are nothing more than modern day psychics, soothsayers, and liars. We were warned in John that they would make merchandise and yet there is no shortage of people willing to pay for the words of these charlatans. Theirs words have not and will not come to pass because God is not mocked. Things that do come true are because they were already going to come through because of Jesus. I invite your careful attention to the Wizard of Oz where the charlatan goes through Dorothy’s things to see what she has while her eyes are closed then begins to prophesy. These warlocks can look in the spirit and see many of your blessing. But the church is too lazy to pray or they would already know what God has for them and they would not need a warlock to speak over them or worse. God had something for you but because you love chasing wickedness these things are not available to you until you repent. (Romans 1)

23 Celibacy is optional. Especially since many preachers are teaching fornication. Celibacy is the super power many do not want and very few really strive to achieve.

1 Corinthians 6:18-19. Having a pure vessel not only pleases God, but it honors God. Those who really commit to celibacy are poised and prepared for spiritual warfare. God loves to pour into a pure vessel and I mean you will receive grace, clarity, communication, discernment, peace of mind, the gifts are endless!!! Once you commit yourself to prayer and fasting, you are a whole weapon to contend with! Why do you think the pure widows in the church can really pray, break a stronghold, get an answer, and heal the sick? They are pure vessels that God can use. God wants to use you too. Even those that are married are asked to refrain for a moment to present themselves before the Lord.

I also want to reiterate that this a holiness practice that should be shouted from the rooftops at church. Instead, many clergy are dedicating a mother’s 3rd or 4th baby out of wedlock. Not mention the all to common moral failures of the clergy that are out of control. I would not sit in these types of ceremonies. Don’t participate in another person’s sin. That doesn’t mean to have a bad attitude toward the mother or refuse to give her help. We are at a point in time where shame needs to come back and not every situation should get a recognition ceremony.

Immorality and moral failures are all too common in the Christian church today. It often gets a pass or covered up by church members. The New Testament advised not to even eat with those in these types of sin. Now the church is covering up and making excuses. That bar of accountability has dropped mighty low. Not only do these behaviors contribute to ridicule of the church from outsiders, but the church has done a better job of destroying the name of and sanctity of Jesus’ church than the world.

There were recent statistics taken of colleges that had reported the most STDs. I really assumed and did not expect any Christian schools to be on the list. I was perhaps more sad than alarmed. We are in a time where sin is prophesied to increase.

I wanted to put the definition of atheist first because many in the church would not identify themselves That’s the point of confession, and baptism, and prayer, and good works right?…. RIGHT? I’m putting in all off this effort precisely because I am a believer. Well, let’s examine. God himself warns in Ezekiel 9:6 that judgement will start in His sanctuary. Peter then warns in 1 Peter 4:18 that the righteous will scarcely make it, what will become of the ungodly and sinner. Well folks I don’t need to remind you that there are too many ungodly sinners already in the sanctuary.

Unbelief is not about believing that Jesus exists for the remission of sins. It says the demons know that and they tremble. It has more to believe that he will do what he says he will do because grace has been so pletiful. I has to do with taking for granted what Jesus “allows” us to do on a daily basis. In many it can develop complacent views and expectations on what the bible says. Jesus does not micromanage. You can pray or not. You can be holy or not. You can be obedient or not. You can forgive or not. You can help others or not. In Deuteronomy the scripture says you choose life or you choose death. I’ll go so far as to say this; Don’t let a silly little thing like knowing Jesus get in the way. Jesus said in Matt 7 that many will plead their church resume and he will say, I ‘never’ knew you. I can rest assure you that if Jesus doesn’t know you, you are an atheist and the simplest explanation of an atheist is someone without God. Don’t let that be you. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling while you still can. Walk circumspect while you still can. Seek him daily, while you still can. Above all fear him and keep his commandments while you still can.

25 Gossip GangstersExodus 23:1 Slander is likened to endangering someone’s life. Proverbs 18: 7-8, Proverbs 20:19 But the scripture also highlights that gossip is directly tied to destruction of your own soul. It even warns to leave such a person alone. Gossip is one of the many sins overlooked by the church because it appears harmless compared to murder and fornication. There are times in history where gossip really could lead to ending someone’s life such as the Salem witch trials. It still does even if it is not a physical death, it could certainly lead to someone reputation or livelihood being severely damaged.

My mother used to say that a dog that will bring a bone will also take a bone. Meaning someone who is willing to talk to you about someone else, will also talk about you to someone else. It is a vicious cycle that you can stop before it even gets started.

But I am looking at how gossip is one of those things that really makes the church look like a social club. How can the church be an example to the world when drama, vicious attacks, grumbling and complaining is shared with the world. Where is the respect for Jesus. Jesus covered your sin and daily loads us with benefits. Why is there just a reckless approach to church issues. Issues arise but do they have to be so public? This is not heard of in other religions. Buddhism, Hare Krishna, Shinto, Islam and the like. There’s no drama like Christian drama.

26 Friends with the World– James 4:4 makes it clear that we are enemies of the living God if we are friends with the world. This something that the church is very complacent about and yet Jesus sees it as a violent act. Who in the church wants to be God’s enemy? But there are countless discussions of how it is not wrong to go to music concerts, sports events, reveling, casinos, and the like. It can be something as harmless as watching cable tv. What is the harm in that? The problem is mentioned in Gen 4:7. Sin is actively desiring to consume you. This means your mind, time, resources, actions, plans, and destiny. It is literally feeding off you by planting seeds of desire and temptation in the things that you watch and participate in. You will not be able to go between two opinions and serve two Gods. You are either on the Lord’s side or part of the world.

Let’s say you pay $2000 on concert tickets twice a year to spend an evening with a celebrity that isn’t actively helping you get to heaven (there is no neutral fence, you are sowing into one kingdom or another). But when asked if you will spend time to help the less fortunate, you’ll pass because you are not interested or simply don’t want to make the time. Friend, you are actively living in the parable Luke 16: 19-31. You are dressed in your fine garments to have a good time and you pass by opportunities daily to serve Jesus. At the end of the year, you have spent more time and energy serving your idols than Jesus. Who do you really have a relationship with? Don’t let it take a tragic or fatal incident for you to see your life for what it really is. Examine yourself today. It’s nothing wrong with entertainment (except those events that are clearly rituals to another kingdom), but when it is a competing interest of your time to the kingdom of God, it’s time to repent.

27 Things that God hates.Proverbs 6: 16-19 is a good start but the list is a lot longer than 7. As these are brief points, let me add some nuance here. Christians looking at this verse may feel this really doesn’t apply to the church. No, God is really saying these things about people in the world. That may have some merit, but why are all 7 of these things in the church? Once we get a past a lie here or there, and maybe some discord occasionally, the other items really don’t apply. I beg to differ. One who gossips has actually covered all 7 items. One who doesn’t stop iniquity (repeating the same sins continuously) covers several items on the list. Those who partake in others’ sin is also in danger of the wrath of God.

Psalm 7:11- We take for granted too often how much God hates sin. We are covered by the blood so we have grace to repent. All too often we receive immediate grace but no urgency to repent. They must go hand in hand.

The other gap in knowledge and practice is the sin of omission. When we fail to do the things, we know we should, it is equally detestable to God. Rev 2:1-6 makes it plain that we are to work in the kingdom as a first love experience. The interesting thing is, Jesus lists the things that he appreciated and that he approved. He did not list the works of first love. I think this is for several reasons. Frist love activities could become idolized and the other duties get neglected. I also think that first love works are done with a certain zeal and gladness that really up to the reader to imagine. I think first love works would be limited to what Jesus mentioned and there are so many ways to have first love works that are personal, and corporate, and creative in a way that requires individuals to develop these kinds of works for themselves.

Friend, we are in a relationship with Jesus. Let’s actively stop the things he hates and be proactive in saying I love you, Lord by doing his holy perfect will in our lives.

28 Don’t judge! That’s what we have been called to do according to Paul in 1 Corinthians 2:15. We are to judge all things without being subject to being judge. Not according to our own understanding, but according to the perfect will of the Father. We are to access people places and things and discern if they are of God or not. That doesn’t mean we set up a microphone and publicly declare something unholy. But it should be used as a guide on how to accept or reject alliance with certain people, places, or things. It should at the very least help you to understand what to pray about. Moreover, let’s not water down the gospel by bidding everyone godspeed and thereby taking part of their iniquity 2 John 1: 10-11.Our success in the Christian walk depends on being able to be a righteous judge between good and evil and also knowing when to condemn and when to try and salvage. Grace should absolutely be extended when possible but knowo when to have a firm boundary with the word and will of God.

Too many times people want to use don’t judge so they can avoid consequences of their actions. There are also bullies who purposely condemn people to make themselves important. But this is not the judgement of believers. Believers have authority to judge and access a situation and know the will of God concerning it. This is what proper judgement is about.

God knows my heart is very similar statement to don’t judge. But the question becomes what does God know about your heart? Is it exceedingly wicked Jeremiah 17:9-10? Are you faith, pure, and blameless? Or are you someone that has to be dealt with a heavy hand Psalm 18:25-27.

29 Training children is an option-Proverbs 22:6 There is absolutely an evident downward spiral in morality and what appears to be common sense in the youth. As disheartening as this is, we can’t just blame the youth as if they alone are responsible. They surely had guidance (or lack thereof) from parents, grandparents, extended family or neighbors. No parent is willing to admit they failed to set proper boundaries. In all fairness schools are failing at an alarming rates as well. It is hard pressure from peers and authority figures that influence wicked choices at an early age. I do believe there are so many pressures and influences through peers and school to be worldly and introduce ungodly behavior can be an even stronger influence than parents. This is nothing new and has been happening since the beginning of time. While parents and caregivers alike are not openly condoning this behavior, they can often enable ungodly behavior by allowing children to be programmed by television, social media and worst of all not rebuking or taking time to cultivate righteous behavior. It’s not enough to force a child to go to church. How does Jesus influence your daily lives. There are a few passages in the Old Testament that had very drastic and finite consequences for children that disrespected God’s law. 1 Samuel 3:13 Even Eli the prophet had his children killed by God because of their repeated vile behavior. Yes, Eli is recorded as rebuking his sons but the scripture goes on to say that Eli did not refrain his sons from doing evil. So, it is not enough to rebuke children and then allow them to continue reckless behavior. It is a must to establish the kind of authority that children will respect. This is not the teacher’s job, the pastor’s job, or the grandparent’s job. Parents have to begin to make time for what matters most. Teaching no matter what everyone else is doing, your house will follow the Lord.

30 Being right is the same is being righteous. Pride is a destiny killer, a relationship killer, and a salvation killer. Heart posture and humility are key in having the right standing with God. If being right is a weapon to tear someone else down, you are far from the mark. Can you present the truth in a way that will win someone over or are you more interest in being powerful and important. Now there are times to be firm especially for those in the trenches in situations like street preaching. But you never have to be condescending. Just present your case and they may just leave with seeds that will be watered by another and God will give the increase. It is so important not to lean on your own understanding and seek guidance in all situations. If you have Christ in your life, humble yourself to make sure someone else can receive him also.

The Christian Church is really suffering an identity crisis right now. The church wants to proclaim it knows Jesus, His will for the people, and claims to be walking in the footprint He left behind. However, we can just look at how loud the proclamation is compared to how silent the church is in fundamental areas, trafficking, addressing poverty, illnesses, etc. I don’t even mean there has to be marching in the street. When was the last time the church, any church really labored in prayer for anything other than their own needs. To that point, where is even the solemn assembly for the sins of the church. The prayers of the righteous availed much but if the church is praying…maybe everything is being handled. The church of today fails to address serious challenges within the church and yet claims to be expert in bible theology. There is a serious disconnect. The church may possess some biblical facts but it is far from living the truths of the bible. It is time to go back to bible basics and bring the revival of true Christianity to the forefront for the world to see.
